Bike parking
Here is the bike parking at the Mechelen train station. I saw similar bike parkings at other stations. During rush hour, I am pretty sure the bikes outnumber the cars. I honestly did not expect to see so many people riding bikes. It is very popular here. In the week and a half that I've been here, I would be confident to say that I saw more than 200 people biking. Can you guess how many of them were wearing helmets? You are close, only 1 person, a child, maybe 4 years old. It seems the bike helmets have not catched on here. I wonder why.
